This was a sizeable tree in a residential setting, with neighbouring properties, gardens and boundaries all close to the working area. With limited room around the tree, it wasn’t a job where large sections could simply be felled into the garden. The team needed to keep the work controlled throughout and use equipment that could be positioned safely within the available space.
The Approach
A tracked MEWP was brought onto site to give the team safe access into the crown. Working progressively from the top down, the tree was dismantled in manageable sections, keeping the work contained within the garden and away from the surrounding properties. Branches and timber were processed as the job moved forward, with the team working systematically through the tree rather than bringing down large sections at once.
The Solution
The takedown was completed safely and in a controlled way despite the restricted residential setting. Using the MEWP gave the team the access needed to work around the tree efficiently while keeping control of the dismantling from start to finish. Another local job completed by the T.
