What we sell.
Seasoned Hardwood Firewood
We sell seasoned hardwood firewood logs sourced directly from our tree surgery work across Harrogate and North Yorkshire. Every log comes from trees we've professionally removed or pruned — oak, ash, beech, birch, and sycamore, then cut to size, split, and air-dried for a minimum of 12 months before sale.
Properly seasoned hardwood burns hotter, longer, and cleaner than unseasoned or softwood alternatives. Our logs are cut to standard stove lengths (approximately 25cm / 10 inches) and split to a size that fits most log burners, open fires, and fire pits. Moisture content is below 20%, which is the recommended level for efficient, low-smoke burning and meets the Ready to Burn standard.
We deliver in bulk bags or loose loads depending on quantity. All logs are hardwood — we don't sell softwood (pine, spruce, larch) as primary firewood because it burns too fast, produces excess creosote, and gives poor heat output compared to hardwood.

Oak
Dense, slow-burning. Excellent heat output over long periods. Ideal for log burners. Seasons 18-24 months. Our most popular species.
Ash
Burns well even slightly green. Good heat, clean steady flame. Seasons quickly (12 months). Excellent all-round firewood - reliable and easy to light.
Birch
Burns hot and fast with attractive flame. Great for kindling or mixing with denser species. Natural oils give a pleasant scent when burning.
Mixed Hardwood
Our standard - oak, ash, beech, birch, sycamore. Good variety of burning characteristics at the best value. Most customers order mixed loads.

2. Delivery arranged
We deliver in bulk bags or loose loads at a time that suits you. Just let us know where you'd like them placed - driveway, log store, garden. We can stack if access allows.
3. Burn & reorder
Enjoy your firewood. When you're running low, get in touch and we'll arrange your next delivery. Many customers set up regular autumn deliveries to stock up before winter.
