Tom expertly pollarded some tall poplars in a conservation area next to a road for us. He sorted the necessary authority application and managed the highway requirements. His rates are very reasonable. He and his team are most polite and friendly and left the site tidy. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Tom and his team came and pruned back some lovely old apple trees, our fig, plum and holly trees, and left everything clean and tidy. They even left some chippings for us to us as mulch. All done very quickly, no fuss, and were very competitively priced. We will be happy to use them again. Highly recommended.

Tom came to our rescue when our birch tree developed a distinct list due to being weakly staked when it was originally planted by me. He quickly saw what the problem was, explained what was needed and arranged a date a few days later to put things right. Tom and his colleague quickly put in a new, firmer and more substantial stake and new heavy-duty rubber ties. They left the garden neat and tidy and have been back to trim the top of the tree so that it will fill out rather than just keep growing skywards! In everything Tom has been a real pleasure to deal with. Not only does he know his trees, he explains things clearly and he does what he says he will do, when he says he will do it. Tom's work is first rate, he works tidily and he is reasonable in the prices he charges. I have no hesitation in recommending Tom Howie to anyone in the Harrogate area who needs work done to a tree. He is ace!

I can't recommend Tom and his team highly enough! They quoted for cutting down 2 conifer trees (including stump grinding) and extensive pruning of an apple tree. As we are in a conservation area Tom obtained the necessary permission for the work. On the day, his team worked extremely hard. Their thoroughness and quality of work impressed us and they went above and beyond to tidy up completely. We will most definitely be using them again

Well storm Dave hit hard last night and dropped half of my 50ft Eucalyptus tree on both mine and my next door neighbours roof .The tree was sat at a very precarious angle and the other half of the tree still flailing in the wind. From the minute Tom answered the phone I knew I was dealing with a true professional ,early Easter Sunday morning, and he was so understanding and extremely helpful and was very well organized , He asked for some photos to evaluate the situation then popped round for a look at the job , he then went off and returned with all the correct tools and equipment and bought another one of his team to get the job done ,they set too strait away with a clear and safe plan of action .Having the latest state of the art equipment and both lads displaying a very professional manner soon had the tree secured and quickly and efficiently started cutting down both parts of the tree . What a fantastic pair of lads who obviously demonstrated their professional knowledge and skill and made the job safe and coordinated . I would highly recommend their services to anyone requiring any Arbitrary tree work or tree surgery.

The sight of him and his colleague climbing and abseiling down and around them was something to behold whilst the other member tidied up on the ground. Tom and his team came and cut back the dead wood in a beautiful old oak. It still looks lovely as if it hasn’t really been touched, which is what we wanted. We needed the job done asap and he managed to come out within a week. Tom is very professional and knowledgeable, he and his team left the site so clean and tidy it was impossible to tell where they had been. Tom and his team did a brilliant job of reducing the height of my hedge by 1m. The hedge is very long and I expected them to take 2 days to complete. All done in a day and all waste removed and shredded. Excellent!
